Yahara House, a club for the mentally ill, spent about $24,000 a year at Woodman's to provide meals for their members. Yahara House has dropped its account and moved its business to Hy Vee because of Woodman's flippant, disgraceful decision to end mental heath care for their employees. The Yahara House tried to start a dialogue with Woodman's before they made this decision but that yuppie Clint Woodman said he'd never heard of them and this was not up for discussion.
When Woodman's is challenged they hold the fireworks hostage and snub a charitable group. They have also successfully busted their union. If you only care about rock-bottom prices than you're giving an endorsement to Woodman's decision that mental health care is frivolous. Is it ethical to shop at Woodman's anymore?
